Reason To reduce the risk of flooding to the proposed development and future occupants and to ensure the development is appropriately flood resistant and resilient such that, in the event of a flood, it could be quickly brought back into use without significant refurbishment. Facts
Description The development shall be carried out in accordance with the submitted flood risk statement compiled by Building Link Design Architects (13/09/23) and the following mitigation measures it details: - Finished Floor levels of the ground floor will be no lower than 2.88 meters above Ordinance Datum (mAOD); - There shall be no sleeping accommodation located on the ground floor of the development; - Flood resilience measures will be incorporated up to a minimum of 4.4 mAOD; and - Electrical sockets will be raised to a minimum of 4.4 mAOD. These mitigation measures shall be fully implemented prior to occupation and subsequently in accordance with the scheme's timing/phasing arrangements. The measures detailed above shall be retained and maintained thereafter throughout the lifetime of the development. Facts
